Spaces that breathe, stories that stay.
Interior and travel photography for houses, retreats and places that want to be more than a booking page, plus travel reportage about people, their work and their relationship to the land they live in. I photograph material, light and the traces of life, and I travel with presence, stay long and listen before I press the shutter.
Interior
Natural light · SpacesBoutique hotels, guesthouses, retreats and private homes, photographed with available light and a feel for material, texture and the quiet traces of daily life.
Travel
Reportage · CultureTravel reportage about people, cultures and craft, shot with attention, at eye level, with the words that carry their context alongside the images.
Natural light instead of flash
I work almost entirely with available light, planning the day around the sun: quiet rooms in the morning, outdoor areas in the afternoon, the warm hours in the evening.
Who I work with
Boutique hotels and guesthouses in Cape Town, Franschhoek and along the Garden Route, retreats, yoga and wellness spaces, holiday homes, architects and interior designers looking for a calm, characterful visual language.
Series, not single frames
A place tells its story through details: a door handle, a breakfast table, the view from the window. I deliver sets that work together across website, social media and print.
Image and text
I write alongside every reportage. Booking a series means receiving not only photographs but also the words that carry their context, for magazines, NGOs, brands or your own project.
The way I work
I never photograph anyone against their will and I work at eye level. People are not scenery. That rule shapes every project, whether in the High Atlas or in a workshop in Woodstock.
